Halloween Craft - Witches Twig Brooms

Witches Twig Brooms

Easy Halloween DIY craft

This is a very simple and inexpensive Halloween decoration to make.

What you will need for this project:

Tree twigs - large and small
Garden shears
Metallic gold spray paint
Twine or string
Black nylon pantyhose or black fabric or black hair scrunchy

Go outside and collect twigs. Fall and winter is the best time to find leafless twigs on the ground. Depending on how many brooms you are going to make gather some thicker and longer twigs (branches) to use as the longer stem of the broom.

Cut your twigs with shears. Arrange your twigs by size. Spray paint your twigs with the metallic gold spray paint.

Tie your arranged twigs together. These are the bristles of the brooms.

I had a pair of old black pantyhose that I used for the broom. You can use a black hair scrunchy or other black fabric. I cut the leg off the pantyhose and then it into strips.

Then I tied the thicker and longer broom handle in with the bristles. Then tied the black pantyhose strip around the bristles, covering the string.

Now you've got a spooky witch's broom.

I added some rock that I spray painted with the metallic gold spray paint. I unraveled some cotton balls to make some cobwebs. And I placed some cardboard bats I'd made earlier.
