Halloween Decoration - Vampire Be-Gone

Vampire Be-Gone

Made from old salt container

Cool do-it-yourself Halloween decoration.

What you will need for this project:

Empty cardboard salt carton
Dollar store poster paint
Cotton swabs
Glue
Salt and food coloring
Orange construction paper for the label
Scissors

Take an empty salt cardboard container and peel off the label.

Pull off any labels or price tags.

Then use black dollar store poster paint to paint the empty salt container. I usually add a bit of water to the poster paint to make it easier to work with and the cardboard absorbs the watered down paint well.

I use dollar store cotton swabs to paint the poster paints with. They are disposable and quick to use but they do fall apart quickly. You can paint with paint brushes if you like.

I took some salt and mixed it with red food color to have some red "Vampire Be-Gone" powder. Then I put the colored salt into the painted salt container so that something would come out of the container if someone checked it.

I used my computer to print out the label on some orange construction paper. I used a Halloween font for the wording "Vampire Be-Gone" and then cut the label into an off center diamond and then glued the label onto the black container.

And that's it! Now you have a spooky Halloween decoration.
