Halloween Spiders Made From Bottle Caps
Halloween Spiders
Made From Beer Bottle Caps
What you will need for this project:
Bottle caps
Burgundy spray paint or wall paint or craft paint
Black, red, and white dollar store poster paint
Instead of throwing away the beer bottle caps after opening the beer bottles I collected them over a few months time. When I had quite a few of them I spray painted them with burgundy colored spray paint.
I wasn't that through in covering them with the spray paint. They move around quite a bit when the air/spray comes their way even though they were in a make-shift spraying booth. I spray painted them just enough to get that base of burgundy color. And I only sprayed the tops and the sides partially. They are going to be Halloween spiders so grungy and not perfect is good.
The base color needs to be either spray paint or wall/craft paint since the poster paint is too thin to use as a base coat.
Once the bottle caps were dried I paint them with watered down black, dollar store, poster paint. The watered down paint dries a hazy light gray and looks spooky on top of the burgundy.
After the black poster paint was dry I used white paint to create the whites of the spider eyes.
When the white paint was dry I painted black dots for the pupils.
Then I used red poster paint to draw on "V" shaped eyebrows and mouths.
Now you can place a bunch of your Halloween spiders in groups anywhere you want. Lots of spooky spider eyes looking at you!
