Halloween - Tombstone With Cross
Halloween Styrofoam Tombstone
Easy Halloween Craft
What you will need for this project:
Scrap Styrofoam
Exacto knife, scissors, or box cutter
Gray paint
Dollar store black poster paint
Glue
Paint brushs
I gathered some scrap Styrofoam pieces that came in some shipping boxes I had.
I just eyeballed it and cut out a cross on top of a square shape for the tombstone piece. The base was already rectangular so I didn't cut it at all. Marks, dings, cuts in the Styrofoam are good since the tombstone is suppose to be old and spooky.
I had some gray paint so I randomly painted it on the Styrofoam pieces leaving some of the white areas of the Styrofoam unpainted.
After the gray paint was dry. I added some water to my black poster paint to make it watery. Then I painted some areas with the black poster paint. Especially the edges. So with the white Styrofoam, gray paint and black paint it looks aged.
I used my black paint to write the letters RIP. And then glued the tombstone top to the base and let dry.
And that's it! A quick little tombstone. I added some Halloween cobwebs and some black bats to complete the decoration. Easy!
