Make a group of Halloween Bats

Halloween Bats

Made From Cardboard

Another simple Halloween craft idea.

What you will need for this project:

Cardboard
Dollar store black and red poster paints
Dollar store foam balls
Paint brushes or dollar store cotton swabs
Scissors
Glue

Dollar store poster paint.

I use dollar store cotton swabs to paint my poster paints with since they are cheap and disposable. Painting with paint brushes also works.

The cardboard Heineke beer bottle dividers have a wing like shape so I just used these pre-cut pieces for the body of the bats. You can use any thin cardboard to make the bat wings.

I snipped out the pre-cut wings.

I trimmed and rounded some of the corners. The one picture on the left is what came out of the divider. The one pictured on the right is the one that I rounded out.

I added some water to my black poster paint to make the paint watery and thinner.

Then just painted them black.

I cut piece in half. And painted the edges black.

I folded the pieces almost in half to make a crease then open them up again.

I took some of the purple foam balls off of a dollar store flower. Glued them on the black wings and then painted the balls black. The ball is the bat's head.

Then I took some red dollar store paint and painted red dots for the eyes.

That's it! Now you've got an army of Halloween bats. Place them all around or you can keep them together in a group!
