Witch's Broom And Parking Sign
Halloween Witch's Broom Parking Space
Broom made from paper grocery bag and branch
What you will need for this project:
Paper grocery bag
Small tree branch
Black fabric or black twist tie
Brown paint
Black magic marker
Scrap piece of wood
Dollar store hook setScissors
Twine
Paint brushes or dollar store cotton swabs to paint with
Glue
Hand drill/Push Drill
Pencil
Screwdriver
To make the faux broom bristles, I cut open a paper grocery bag, pulled off the paper handles, and cut out the bottom of the bag.
Arrange the paper so that it is an oblong bag. Twist tie it at the top and let dry.
When the brown paint was dried I use my black magic marker to add random black streaks. Again, this is for contrast and a textured look. You can keep repeating the paint and magic marker until you like the look of it.
Tie the painted bag to the golden branch with either black fabric or a black twist tie.
That's it! You've now got a faux witch's broom.
To make the broom holder I just screwed some dollar store hooks into a scrap piece of wood I had. With a pencil I marked where the hooks would go. I used my push drill to drill the holes.
You can hand letter any message you would like if you don't have a computer printer.
Then attached some twine to the back of the board to hang my sign with and placed my faux Witch's Broom on the hooks to complete the project.
