Purple Pine Cones and Flowers Centerpiece

DIY Floral Centerpiece

Fun with purple pine cones and flowers.

For this project you will need:

Pine Cones

Scrap wood - about 2' x 2" x 1/2"

Glue - Hot glue gun is the best but I only had dollar store glue handy.

Purple paint

Purple glitter

Dollar store flowers

Cutting shears

First collect your pine cones. Wash them in warm soapy water to get the dirt and bugs out. Let them dry for a couple of days. They will close up when wet and then open again when dry.

Paint your pine cones with purple paint.

When dry, spread glue all over the pine cone and sprinkle purple glitter over the glue covered pine cone. Repeat as necessary to get sparkling purple pine cones.

Paint your two foot wood board purple. When dry, glue your purple glitter pine cones to the wood board. Let dry.

Snip off flowers from dollar store bouquet and insert them between the center pine cones.

I don't glue the flowers into the pine cones so that I can use the flowers else where if I decide to and I can also change which flowers are inserted into my pine cones if I want a change.

That's it! Something a little different for a centerpiece.
