Glittering Green Christmas Pine Cones
Green Christmas Pine Cones
In Planters
What you will need for this project:
Pine Cones
Glue
Green and white paint
Glitter
Small planters
Tweezers
Collect pine cones. Wash them in a bucket of soapy water to get the bugs out. They will close up when wet. Let them dry for a couple of days or lay them in the sunshine and they will re-open when dry.
Take a pair of tweezers and pull out seeds and other various bits. This make them easier to paint.
Paint the pine cones green with a paint brush or cotton swabs. You won't get all areas painted because of the construction of the pine cones but you will cover the cones enough to get the green to dominate.
Let the paint dry.
Take white paint and brush over the sides of the pine cones so that the white paint is only on the edges.
When dry, spread glue over the pine cone petals then sprinkle glitter on the glue. Shake the extra glitter off the pine cone. Repeat.
Planters:
Take some small planters and paint them white. Then paint the rim green.
Now just put your glittering green pine cone in the painted planter.
They look like miniature Christmas trees.
